This is the brandnew and hard hitting "Soulshine" EP by Acid_Lab aka A:Lab. It shows you, four slices of modern and minimal D&B music on 172 bpm. All tunes cover a wide spectrum of different influences. So what is going on here?

First we got "Am I Dreaming", a funked out roller in the grand tradition of Virus Recordings or DSCI4. This track stomps directly into your head! It just uses some reckless Techstep beats and a superb midrange bassline. Add some sinister drones and a bunch of filtered stabs, nothing else is needed...

"Tune In" grabs some early Jungle vibes and catapult them into the year 2022. A low and booming subbass makes place for some rattling breakbeats and a distinctive vocal sample.

Track number three, "Soulshine" is a deep one with a raw club attitude. Take some classy beats and a shuttering bassline melody and let's have a dance or two.

Last but not least, we got a hypnotic Dubtechno fulled D&B tune named "Echo Sounder", which features Kodama and like the title promises, it's all about endless delays and echo effects. Detroit is just calling.
